Customization is a key aspect of One UI 7.0. With the latest version of One UI, Samsung has introduced some customization features that users have been asking for a long time, many of which improve the experience as soon as the user unlocks their device.
One UI 7 lets you directly tap apps inside a folder
Those features have to do with the home screen, and one that hasn’t received enough attention is the option to enlarge home screen folders. Folders are great for having quick access to your favorite apps without cluttering the home screen, and on One UI 7 (Android 15), you can make home screen folders larger so you can directly tap an app inside without having to open the folder first.
Eliminating the step where you first open the folder doesn’t sound like much, but believe us when we say that it does make a difference, and once you get used to it, you will not want to go back. For a lot of users, this will effectively take the app drawer out of the equation as they can fit all their favorite apps on a single home screen.
To make a home screen folder larger, just long press the folder and select the Enlarge option. To go back to the original size, long press the folder and select Shrink. Just keep in mind that the size of an enlarged folder will depend on how many apps are in it, so you will need free space around a folder to make it bigger.
The video below shows how it all works. If you have a Galaxy phone that's running One UI 7, go ahead and try it out! Don't have One UI 7 yet? Check if your phone or tablet is eligible for the update here.
