Samsung is ready to bring a new low-cost phone to India. The company confirmed it will release the Galaxy A05s on October 18. The Galaxy A05s is a budget device powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Surprisingly, it also boasts a 50MP primary camera.
Samsung doesn't seem to have mentioned the cheaper Galaxy A05 counterpart in its release notes for India (via Business Standard), and pricing details are also missing.
However, the Galaxy A05s was officially announced in Malaysia a few weeks ago, and we know everything there is to know about its specifications.

Galaxy A05s might be a great value proposition
Samsung's new budget fighter is equipped with a 6.7-inch PLS LCD featuring a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
The camera system comprises a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth camera, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 13MP selfie sensor. The phone can record 1080p videos at 60fps.
At the core of the Galaxy A05s resides the Snapdragon 680 SoC boasting four Kryo 265 CPU cores running at a frequency of up to 2.4GHz. The chip includes an Adreno 610 graphics chip.
Samsung has equipped the low-cost phone with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0, a 3.5mm headphone port, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy A05s will go on sale in India on October 18, but pricing details haven't been revealed yet. Customers will have three color options: black, light green, and light violet.
Editor's note: Although there's no mention of the Galaxy A05 in today's announcement, Samsung will likely release it on or around the same day as the A05s.
To make an educated guess about pricing, we can look at the Galaxy A05 and A05s release in the Philippines. The Galaxy A05 and A05s went on sale on October 10 for the equivalent starting prices of $100 and $140, respectively. I suspect Galaxy A05 and A05s prices in India will be in the same ballpark.
