Following the countless leaks and rumors pertaining to Samsung's Galaxy Tab S7 spinoff, the company has finally put an end to the question of ‘what moniker will the tablet have?' and has quietly made the device official through one of its e-shops in Europe. The tablet popped up in the online store in Germany today alongside a €649 price tag, and in case there was any doubt, it's called the Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G.
The Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G will be available in two color options — Mystic Black and Mystic Silver — and one 64GB storage configuration that can be expanded via microSD. The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset and it ships with 4GB of RAM.
Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G is equipped with a 12.4-inch display, but it's of the TFT variety rather than AMOLED. It has a resolution of 2,560 by 1,600 pixels and it's seemingly limited at 60Hz.
Other hardware components include a 10,090mAh battery with 45W super-fast charging capabilities, which should be plenty. The unit promises up to 13 hours of video playback on a single charge, and thanks to its super-fast charging, the battery can be fully recharged in roughly 190 minutes.
The tablet has an 8MP main camera, a 5MP selfie sensor, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac and VHT80 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS, but it lacks NFC capabilities.
Samsung DeX, S Pen, and various apps are included
Samsung is selling the Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G along with an S Pen, so the device is appropriately-marketed as a productivity-oriented device. Much like the non-FE Galaxy Tab S7, it also comes with a variety of note-taking and design apps including Noteshelf, Canva, and Clip Studio Paint, the latter of which is offered in the EX variant for 6 free months.
Last but not least, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G supports the DeX platform, and productivity can be enhanced even further by pairing the tablet the Samsung keyboard cover.
The tablet can't be ordered as of this writing but the ‘Buy' button on Samsung's e-shop will likely be activated soon.
