Samsung has released a new version of the Samsung Keyboard (version 5.8.20.12). Unfortunately, the company hasn’t revealed what changes it offers compared to the previous version of the app. We went through all the options in it on our Galaxy S23 but didn’t find anything new. That being said, the update could have bug fixes and performance improvements which are usually evident in long-term usage.

The size of the update is 87.25MB. You can get the latest version by navigating to Galaxy Store » Menu » Updates and then clicking on the update icon beside the Samsung Keyboard listing or tapping the ‘Update all’ button. We have received the update on our Galaxy S23 in India, and Samsung should be rolling it out to other devices globally.

On a related note, many people recently discovered that when they apply a theme to the Samsung Keyboard using Theme Park on One UI 6.0, it doesn’t get applied completely when the Color Palette option is enabled in One UI. The South Korean tech giant has acknowledged the issue and has said that it will fix the problem with One UI 6.1. You can check out if your Galaxy phone/tablet is eligible for the update here.
