A couple of days ago, Samsung teased a new Galaxy M series smartphone, the Galaxy M47, and confirmed that the brand would launch the phone in India and sell it in the country exclusively via Amazon. Now, the company has revealed the upcoming device's design and, more importantly, its features and launch date. Let's take a look.
On Amazon India, we discovered a page teasing Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy M47. According to it, the brand will launch the phone on June 29, 2026. It says that the device has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+, offering “4x scratch resistance” and “2.0m fall endurance”.

In addition to that, the Galaxy M47 is dust and water-resistant. All of that makes it sound like a very rugged phone. The listing says that the phone uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, but does not mention its model number (we expect it to be the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3). The chipset will be mated to the LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
The Galaxy M47 has three cameras at the rear: a 50MP camera with a wide lens and OIS, a 5MP camera with an ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP camera with a macro lens. At the front, there will be a 12MP camera. The teaser images say that the phone has a large battery with support for charging at up to 45W and the Bypass Charging feature.

According to the teaser page, Samsung will ship the Galaxy M47 with One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) and offer it six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Lastly, the brand says that it will offer the phone in two color options: Rogue Red and Blaze Blue. The only thing about the phone that is still under wraps is its price.
