Earlier this month, the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024 was held in the US, but the company didn't unveil the design and features of One UI 7.0 at the event. Instead, it said it would open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program before the end of this year. Now, it appears that it could open the beta program at the SDC 2024 event in South Korea in November.

SDC 2024 Korea will be a great place to showcase One UI 7.0

Samsung has announced it will hold the Samsung Developer Conference 2024 event in South Korea on November 21. People who want to attend the conference can apply for entry on Samsung's website starting today (October 29).

The event will open with a welcome speech by Jeon Kyung-hoon, President and Chief Technology Officer of Samsung Electronics' DX Division and Head of Samsung Research. He will cover a wide range of topics, including Samsung's work in communication, data processing, Generative AI, IoT, healthcare and software platforms (One UI and Tizen), and healthcare.

During the event, Jeong Jae-yeon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Device Platform Center, will also speak on the stage about improving software and device platforms. Samsung may showcase One UI 7.0's design and features during this part of the event. It is also possible that Samsung will open the One UI 7.0 Beta Program after this conference. However, nothing can be confirmed right now, and we will get more information closer to the event.

Samsung will hold 29 sessions spread across several topics, including the development of Generative AI models for on-device use (Galaxy AI), the future of healthcare (Samsung Health) and related strategies, SmartThings, integration of Matter with SmartThings, and Tizen.

Vice President Jinmin Jeong, head of the S/W Innovation Center at Samsung Research, Samsung Electronics, said, “This year, at SDC24 Korea, we will expand the presentations by Samsung Electronics developers compared to last year, revealing more of Samsung’s research and development activities. We will continue to strengthen the software ecosystem through meaningful exchanges with numerous developers.
