Samsung opens new semiconductor research facility in India

Samsung has announced that it has set up a new semiconductor research facility in Bengaluru, India. Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) now has a new R&D center to address the company's growing need for advanced infrastructure. It also shows the company's commitment to research in India.

Samsung Semiconductor India Research has a swanky R&D facility in Bengaluru

This new R&D center in Bengaluru has modern and open-plan layouts across four floors. With this structure, the company is encouraging enhanced collaboration and flexibility for its employees. There are over 60 state-of-the-art meeting rooms for seamless communication of employees with their peers. There is also a fully equipped cafeteria, dedicated nap rooms, recreational areas, and medical facilities for all employees.

Samsung is also offering free transportation to enhance the convenience of employees further and ensure a holistic work experience. SSIR currently has around 4,500 employees, and 700 more employees will be added in the future. These employees will be a combination of fresh hires from colleges and universities and lateral hires.
