Samsung has just released a new version of the Samsung Shop app for Android (version 2.0.40200). It brings an all-new user interface that looks more streamlined, organized, and elegant than the UI offered by the previous version of the app.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI
The new design comes right before the Galaxy Unpacked event on 10 July 2024, where Samsung will launch many products, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Ring. It looks like the company has tidied up the Samsung Shop app to welcome them. The new version of the Samsung Shop app offers five noticeable changes. Let’s take a look.
Redesigned top bar
The first and the most noticeable change is in the top bar. The new version of the app has a Samsung logo on the left and search, wishlist, notifications, and cart buttons on the right. In the previous version of the app, you didn’t have the Samsung logo. In its place, there was a search bar. It also lacked the button for a wishlist. Take a look at the new and old designs in the screenshots below (Left – Old design; Right – New design).
Offers now appear as vertically-scrollable cards
The second change is a new design for the Offers section, which now shows each offer one after the other in vertical alignment. The previous version of the app displayed offers in multiple horizontally scrolling carousels.
New design for the My Page section
The third change is a new design for the My Page section. It now shows the user’s name in a new and better-looking design. Following that is a section with options for Points, Vouchers, and Wishlist arranged horizontally. Below that you will see options for Track My Order, My Referrals, and Order Support. In the previous version of the app, all those options were listed vertically one after the other, which didn’t look as engaging as the current one.
Reorganized Menu section
The fourth change is a new design for the Menu section. It now shows options in a bolder and bigger font. Apart from that, Samsung has removed five options — Track My Order, Welcome Vouchers, Referral Advantage, and Smart Club — from this section which were present in the previous version of the app. That’s actually a good thing because those options were redundant as they are/were already present in the My Page section.
AI reaches Samsung Shop
The name of the new version of the Samsung Shop app has the ‘Meet the new AI’ tagline, which wasn’t present in the previous version of the app, and as soon as you enter the app, you will see a new category named ‘AI.’ It lists all the products from the company that feature AI, including smartphones, tablets, TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines.

We have received the latest update of the Samsung Shop app on our Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 in India. However, not through the Galaxy Store but from the Google Play Store. Samsung must be rolling out the update in other regions as we speak. To get it, go to the Google Play Store, tap the profile icon, click on Manage apps and device, and select the Update all button.
