At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024, Samsung Electronics showcased innovative AI technologies developed by its in-house venture and startup accelerator, C-Lab, i.e., Samsung Creative Lab. Samsung displayed a total of 15 C-Lab projects, which is the highest number of C-Lab startup projects displayed at CES. Ten of the projects were from C-Lab Outside, three were from in-house ventures, and two were from C-Lab Inside.

Samsung's C-Lab spin-off leader, Goose Labs, showcased ‘FIVA‘, an AI-powered metaverse home fitness app. “FIVA was born from a desire to make exercise an enjoyable part of daily life, not a daunting task. Using AI motion detection, the app mirrors users' movements and helps them exercise the correct way in the metaverse.

Multiple awards were bagged by Samsung C-Lab projects at CES 2024

RebuilderAI, which was a startup chosen by Samsung's C-Lab Outside program in 2023, displayed its AI technology at CES 2024. The company bagged the CES 2024 Innovation Award for its AI solution, ‘VRIN 3D‘. Notably, VRIN 3D creates high-quality content in 3D simply by using a smartphone. This is a breakthrough technology, as in the future, anyone can effortlessly create a 3D model using a single smartphone and AI.

Visitors at RebuilderAI's booth could easily convert their selfies into 3D models using only their smartphones and the VRIN 3D mobile app. The app also lets users change the texture or background online.

Samsung C-Labs projects won one Best of Innovation Award along with 22 Innovation Awards. Some notable examples include ‘Style Bot‘, which is a customized AI fashion recommendation service, and ‘Yellosis‘, a smart toilet technology for urine analysis.
