Samsung may be using Android for its smartphones and tablets, but it also has several apps for iOS and iPadOS. One of its most popular apps is SmartThings, and it is used by several iPhone and iPad users. The company has updated the SmartThings app for iPhones and iPads to bring a new feature for iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.

SmartThings iPhone app updated to bring Dark Mode icon for iOS 18

Samsung has released a new update (1.7.19) for the SmartThings app for iPhones (iOS) and iPads (iPadOS). This update brings support for the Dark Mode icon on devices running iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. When you activate Dark Mode on your iPhone or iPad, the SmartThings app changes the icon with a black background and blue SmartThings logo.

It also works great when you use tinted icons on your iPhone or iPad. Samsung also made some changes to the Remote Controller section of the app. The buttons now appear a bit more modern (but still not great) with a bit of shadow effect.

The update was actually released last month, but these Dark Mode icon changes are only visible on devices running iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. It also brings support for sharing SmarThings Routines with others. You can also use the app for Hub group management if you have a SmartThings Hub in your home.
