Samsung announces Swarovski Premium Box for latest Galaxy devices

It's been years since Samsung and Swarovski got together to create fashionable accessories for the Galaxy range of products, but the two companies have partnered again around the latest Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.

Samsung has just announced a Premium Box for these three products in Germany, and as of this writing, it's unclear if the partnership with Swarovski will extend to more markets.

Nevertheless, the Premium Box consists of the latest flip phone, wireless earbuds, and Classic smartwatch. The flagship phone and wearables are accompanied by free Swarovski cases and a Watch bracelet.

That's right! You can't purchase these shiny cases or the strap separately, as far as we can tell, but anyone buying the Premium Box will get the three Swarovski accessories for free.

Story continues after the video

It doesn't cost anything to shine, but would you want to?

The Galaxy Z Flip 5, Buds 2 Pro, and Watch 6 Classic are fantastic on their own. They don't really need anything extra to become better than they are, but nevertheless, this Swarovski partnership makes these Galaxy devices shine in the literal sense.

The question is, would you want them to? To put it bluntly, we're not impressed by what we're seeing. These two cases and the smartwatch strap look rather cheap and needless to say, Apple and Swarovski have done a way better job creating bejeweled cases for iPhones.

Even looking into Samsung's backyard we can see better-looking Swarovski accessories than what we have on offer today. Take a look at the old Galaxy Note 3 Swarovski cases, for example, and you will probably see where we're coming from.

These new accessories look cheap in comparison, and their saving grace is that they're offered for free, technically speaking, with the Premium Box. But whether or not they're a good enough incentive to buy the Premium Box in the first place is debatable.
