NFL is becoming increasingly popular worldwide and in the UK, but Samsung found that many Brits who like watching the game don't understand all the rules. As the official smart TV partner of the NFL, Samsung has embarked on a quest to teach Brits how American Football is played.

Samsung partnered with NFL ex-professional player Jason Bell, who played as a cornerback in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and New York Giants.

With Jason Bell's help, the company is now presenting the Samsung and Jason Bell's NFL Jargon Buster Playbook. The goal is to demystify the rules of American Football and help NFL fans in the UK understand the game better as the NFL is marching toward the Super Bowl.

Some new fans Google the rules, others pretend to know them

NFL is getting a lot of traction worldwide, and more than 17 million people in the UK want to watch the Super Bowl on February 9 and see whether the Kansas City Chiefs can set a new world record and win three Super Bowls in a row. But despite all this excitement, more than 4.8 million NFL fans in the UK are confused about the rules.

Samsung says that 10% of people who watch the NFL in the UK frantically look up the terms on their phones during games, and 9% of Brits who don't understand the rules of the NFL follow the crowd and cheer when their peers do.

Even so, 23% of NFL fans in the UK are considering buying a larger TV to enjoy the upcoming Super Bowl LIX event on February 9, and 20% are already planning to host watch parties.

Samsung is the NFL's TV sponsor, and what better way to promote the sport and its TVs than clearing up some of the confusion around the rules of American Football? Hence, Samsung and Jason Bell created the NFL Jargon Buster Playbook. Check it out below or in Samsung's official announcement.

If you are planning on buying a new TV ahead of the Super Bowl, Samsung offers a variety of 4K and 8K options, ranging from entry-level Crystal LCD TVs to Neo QLED, OLED, and microLED. They vary in size and price, image quality, and features. Below, you can find a few useful articles to help you choose.
