Samsung didn't have any special edition Galaxy Z Flip 5 or Galaxy Z Fold 5 versions to reveal during Galaxy Unpacked last month. Nevertheless, the company confirmed today that its collaboration with fashion house Thom Browne continues and that a new special edition Galaxy Z Fold 5 is coming.
The Korean tech giant teased a new Thom Browne-themed foldable phone on the social media platform X earlier today. The caption associated with the short teaser video invites people to “take a seat at the Thom Browne table for a celebration of a new experience in design and innovation.”

Near the end of the video, which consists of a POV shot at a table adorned with the Thom Browne stripes, a cloche (or food plate cover) is removed to reveal a cardboard cutout in the shape of the Galaxy Z Fold. The cutout is also featuring the Thom Browne stripes.

The Thom Browne x Samsung Galaxy legacy continues
After collaborating with Thom Browne for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Fold 3, Samsung changed things around last year and didn't release a Galaxy Z Fold 4 model in collaboration with the fashion house. That is partly why this latest teaser announcement comes as a surprise.
As of this writing, there are no other details regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 5 Thom Browne edition, such as when and where it will go on sale or how much it will cost. But if history is any indication, the upcoming special edition Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be bundled with other Thom Browne-themed Galaxy devices — possibly a Galaxy Watch 6 or Watch 6 Classic.
Of course, if you don't want the Thom Browne edition, you can buy the standard Galaxy Z Fold 5 from the Samsung online shop today and even choose from a couple of online-exclusive colors, such as Gray and Blue with a black frame.
