Samsung is developing Android 15-based One UI 7.0, which will bring new features, design improvements, and many other changes. There are 52 Galaxy smartphones and tablets eligible to get the new software, and over the last few months, the company has been testing it on a few of those devices. Well, the tech giant now seems to have started testing Android 15-based One UI 7.0 for one more device, the Galaxy A55.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI
A new test firmware for the European variant of the Galaxy A55, which has the model number SM-A556B, has been spotted on Samsung’s servers (via @MlindyMrinal2), as you can see in the screenshot below. It carries version A556BXXU4BXGA. The last fourth letter in the build number is ‘B‘, which is different from the last fourth letter in the current official firmware for the phone (A556BXXS4AXF3), which is ‘A.‘
This change indicates that the latest test firmware for the smartphone brings major changes (a new version of Android, a new version of One UI, or both). That leads us to believe that this firmware is Android 15-based One UI 7.0 for the Galaxy A55.
When will Samsung release Android 15 (One UI 7.0) to Galaxy A55?
A report that came out earlier this week claimed that Samsung would release the beta version of Android 15-based One UI 7.0 in the third week of August. However, a more recent report says that might not happen. Whatever the case, the release of the new software for the Galaxy A55 is now one step closer.
