Samsung has unveiled the new lineup of its lifestyle series TVs. A few years ago, the lifestyle TV lineup from the company used to have The Frame, The Serif, and The Sero. However, the company has stopped making the Serif and The Sero over the past couple of years. Today, at its CES 2025 keynote event, the company has announced two lifestyle TVs: The Frame and The Frame Pro.
Samsung unveils The Frame Pro TV with Neo QLED (Mini LED) display
Looking at the demand for The Frame TV, Samsung has expanded the lineup to include its first The Frame Pro TV. These TVs look like picture/art frames when hung up on a wall. They feature replaceable and customizable bezels.
The Frame and The Frame Pro both feature improved picture quality compared to previous-generation lifestyle TVs. They both feature 4K panels, but The Frame uses a QLED panel, while The Frame Pro uses a Mini-LED backlit QLED panel.
However, the Mini-LED backlighting isn't the regular Mini-LED backlighting we know of. Usually, Mini-LED panels have dozens or hundreds of mini-sized LEDs spread across the screen.
On The Frame Pro, the LEDs are placed at the bottom. While it still offers better picture quality, backlight control, and brightness than the regular The Frame TVs (or any other edge-lit LCD or QLED TVs), it won't be as good as regular Mini LED TVs.
The Frame Pro features the NQ4 Gen3 AI Processor, which offers better upscaling of low-resolution content to 4K. It also improves audio quality using AI. It also comes with a Wireless One Connect box featuring Wi-Fi 7 and all regular input and output ports. It allows for a more flexible installation and blends seamlessly into your home.
Art Store comes to all Samsung TVs
Samsung also announced that the Art Store, which was previously only available on The Frame TVs, is now being expanded to all its QLED, Neo QLED, OLED, Micro LED, and other lifestyle TVs. Users can buy artworks and paintings from famous artists and display them on their TV screens. The Art Store also has a collection of free artworks.
The company hasn't announced the detailed specifications of its new The Frame and The Frame Pro TVs yet. The information could be revealed in the next few days. Those TVs will likely go on sale after a few weeks.
