Samsung's 2022 TV lineup includes newer versions of The Frame, The Serif, and The Sero lifestyle TVs. They now feature matte displays to reduce glare, reflections, and even fingerprints. With these new TVs, Samsung has taken its lifestyle design concept to another level. The South Korean firm also unveiled new MicroLED and Neo QLED TVs.
The Frame (2022) comes in various sizes, ranging from 32 inches to 85 inches. The Serif (2022) is available in sizes ranging from 43 inches to 65 inches. However, Samsung hasn't added any new screen size variant to The Sero (2022). These TVs (except 32-inch The Frame) have 4K QLED displays with HDR10+, up to a 120Hz refresh rate (on select models), and Art Mode.
The new lifestyle TVs have also received three verifications from UL (Underwriter Laboratories): Disability Glare Free, Discomfort Glare Free, and Reflection Glare Free. The Sero (2022) now comes with the Multi View feature that lets users watch two different video streams in the top and bottom parts of the TV. The Frame's bezels can be customized, and you can buy them in various shades and colors from Samsung.
Similar to previous-generation lifestyle TVs from Samsung, the 2022 models feature the Art Store. Users can buy or subscribe to digital versions of famous art pieces and flaunt them when the TV is not being actively used. On top of the Art Store, Samsung has included a new NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) platform where consumers can discover, buy, and trade digital artwork.
Samsung has also improved the Tizen OS for its new TVs. The new software features a content curation system that collates movies and TV shows from various video streaming services and then recommends content that is most likely to be viewed by a user. The TVs also feature AirPlay 2, Alexa, Bixby, Google Assistant, Samsung Health, Samsung TV Plus, SmartThings, Apple Music, and Tap View screen mirroring.
There is a Gaming Hub, too, which offers cloud gaming via Google Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Utomik. There is support for low input lag, FPS counter, VRR, 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios, HDR gaming, and HDMI 2.1, which means these TVs are perfect whether you are gaming via the cloud, PC, or gaming consoles like the PS5 or Xbox Series X.
Samsung has also introduced a white variant of its Eco Remote to match white versions of its lifestyle TVs. These remote controllers feature a solar panel to be charged via ambient light. They can even charge by harnessing surrounding radio waves (from Wi-Fi and other radio frequencies) or via the USB Type-C port.
Inspired by The Sero's rotating design, Samsung has added a new accessory: Auto Rotating Wall Mount and Stand. It can be used with The Frame, The Serif TVs, or any other 2022 smart TV from Samsung. It can rotate them in horizontal or vertical positions, allowing you to get immersed in vertical content on TikTok, YouTube, or vertical images and videos that you captured using your smartphone.
