Samsung has announced a new version of its The Terrace outdoor TV. It now comes in an 85-inch model and uses a Neo QLED panel, which is Samsung's term for the Mini LED technology. The company claims that this new TV has improved resistance against weather, along with Samsung Gaming Hub and improved picture quality.

The TV is already available for pre-order in the US, and it costs a whopping $19,999. Interested buyers can pre-order the TV starting today on Samsung.com, and the pre-order period is valid till September 10.

The Terrace Full Sun model, which will soon be available in the 85-inch version, is designed to offer pleasing colors and high brightness even in outdoor conditions. It uses a Mini-LED backlight QLED panel with 4K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 100% color volume. The TV will be showcased at the CEDIA Expo 2023, which runs from September 6 to September 8, 2023.

Thanks to what Samsung calls Direct-Sun Protection, you can watch TV using The Terrace Full Sun even in direct sunlight. It also features an IP56 rating, protecting it from dust and water splashes. The Terrace also has a wide viewing angle and an anti-glare coating to reduce reflections from the sun or other nearby light sources. The TV also features Quantum Processor 4K to upscale non-4K content to 4K resolution. HD Base-T receiver built into the TV can be used to run a single LAN cable to the TV to extend HDMI-connected devices.

The TV runs the latest version of the Tizen OS, which means it also includes Samsung Gaming Hub, which brings various cloud game streaming services, including Amazon Luna, Antstream Arcade, Blacknut, Microsoft Xbox Cloud, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Utomik. Other features include SmartThings, Samsung TV Plus, Bixby, and more. It comes bundled with the SolarCell Remote that charges itself from ambient light.
