Samsung has around 1,700 brick-and-mortar stores in India. However, only two of those outlets are Experience Stores, which are Samsung’s premium offline stores where the brand showcases its high-end products and organizes events during special occasions. Well, the company is planning to open 13 more Experience Stores in India by the end of this year, and they’ll be spread across 9 cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.
This exciting news for Samsung fans was revealed by Sumit Walia, Head of D2C & Corporate Marketing, Samsung India, to PTI. According to him, the decision to open more Experience Stores in the country is a direct result of an increase in sales of the company’s high-end products through Samsung’s premium stores, such as the ones already located in Bangalore and Delhi.
These Experience Stores will have built-in repair centers
“We have seen the share of premium products doubling to 60% – 62% at Samsung brand stores in the last 1.5-2 years. At the premium experience store in Bangalore, it has gone up to 80%. Customers now want more out of their product which we are able to showcase at these premium experience stores” said, Walia.
According to Walia, all these stores will be operated by franchisees, and the franchisee owners will hire one tech expert for every field, such as gaming and photography. He also claimed that the experts would be around half the total workforce at each premium experience store. These stores will also have built-in repair centers for phones, making it easier for Samsung users to locate service centers and get their products repaired.
