Ever thought wouldn't it be nice to browse and purchase NFTs on your big-screen Samsung TV? Apparently, a lot of people, or at least Samsung thinks they have. The company has teamed up with Nifty Gateway, owned by crypto platform Gemini, to develop the first-ever smart TV NFT platform that lets you buy, sell and hold non-fungible tokens or NFTs.

The Nifty Gateway has been integrated with Samsung's NFT platform on its 2022 QLED and Neo QLED premium TVs. A standalone app is also available for Samsung's The Frame and MicroLED TVs.

Nifty Gateway brings NFTs to your Samsung TV

This partnership enables users to browse, display and interact with NFTs on their Samsung TVs. It provides them with access to more than 6,000 pieces of digital art and collectibles from artists like Daniel Arsham, Pak and more.

All of the digital art that's minted through the Nifty Gateway is verified to ensure that customers are getting quality content. Should users so desire, they can store their NFTs in a secure Nifty Gateway Omnibus Wallet. Lastly, customers have payment flexibility for purchases. They can choose to purchase NFTs through their debit or credit cards and even cryptocurrency.

Samsung already has a relationship with this social NFT platform. Samsung Next, the company's venture capital division, is an investor in Nifty. More details regarding the Nifty Gateway partnership with Samsung will be revealed later today during Samsung's Unbox & Discover 2022 event.
