Samsung has announced the addition of more family, music, and sports content to Samsung TV Plus. If you don't know about it, Samsung TV Plus is the company's free and ad-supported TV (FAST) service, available on all recently released Samsung TVs.
Samsung TV Plus gets AHL, Formula 1, MLB, ONE Championship (MMA), and PGA TOUR channels in USA
At the IAB NewFronts 2024 event, Samsung announced it is bringing more channels and content to Samsung TV Plus. These channels include the American Hockey League (AHL), Artist Odyssey, Formula 1, Major League Baseball (MLB), ONE Championship (MMA), The Drop, and The PGA TOUR. Formula One is Formula 1's first FAST channel, and it offers viewers access to catch up on action from F1, F1 Academy, F2, and F3 races throughout the season. It also brings analysis, documentaries, and replays.
Samsung TV Plus is the first FAST platform to get access to live American Hockey League games. It managed to do this through Ontario Reign, a Los Angeles Kings affiliate. The South Korean firm also partnered with MLB to create an MLB channel that offers game recaps, weekly game replays, minor League game replays, and other exclusive content. ONE Championship TV brings combat sports content, including highlights, live action, and behind-the-scenes videos from the world's largest martial arts organization.
The Drop channel offers a video-on-demand playlist experience that ties in with the launch of new music albums. It features new album content, behind-the-scenes content, interviews, premieres, and the artist’s background. Recently, Samsung added three new kids channels—Barbie and Friends by Mattel, Hot Wheels Action by Mattel, and Mattel Jr—to Samsung TV Plus.
