Samsung, one of the world's biggest home appliances firms, has revealed that it will soon launch a washing machine designed specifically for the Indian market. The company hopes to revolutionize the washing machine segment in India with its upcoming launch.

Samsung will launch AI-equipped washing machine made specifically for India

Samsung posted a teaser of the washing machine that it plans to launch in India soon. The company said it can “blend advanced technology into daily routines,” which probably hints at features like Wi-Fi connectivity, SmartThings, and Routines. From the teaser image, it appears that it will be a front-load washing machine with a big dial at the center of its control panel.

Samsung is India's biggest home appliances brand. It launched its first washing machine in 1974 and its first fully automatic washing machine in 1979. In 1997, the South Korean firm launched its first front-load washing machine. In 2008, Samsung launched its first Eco Bubble washing machine. It launched its first Active Wash washing machine in 2014 and its first Add Wash washing machine in 2016.

The South Korean firm launched its first Flex Wash washing machine in 2017 and its first AI-enabled EcoBubble washing machine in India in 2021. It is now planning to launch its “AI Laundry Specialist” washing machine in India soon.

The story continues after the video of Samsung Ballie, the company's prototype robot that can control smart home devices.

All its high-end home appliances feature Wi-Fi and can be controlled and monitored using its SmartThings smart home platform and app. The SmartThings app is available on Android and iOS smartphones and tablets.
