Samsung has announced that at the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2024, the company has won 45 awards for the design of its products, including two Gold, one Silver, and two Bronze awards, and 40 finalists.
Samsung gets praised for Galaxy AI's design
Starting with the two Gold awards, Samsung won those for Galaxy AI UX and Advanced Design Concepts for Appliance Accessories. The former, as you might have figured out, is the user interface of Galaxy AI on Samsung smartphones and tablets, which offers many features, including Circle to Search, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Photo Assist, and Flexcam. As for the latter, it is a design concept for the set of accessories for the company’s home appliances, such as filters for vacuum cleaners and air purifiers.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 gets Silver award
Moving on to the Silver award, Samsung won it for the company's clamshell smartphone with a foldable display from last year, the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Galaxy Tab S9 also on the list
Coming to the two Bronze Awards, the brand won those for the Galaxy Tab S9 series and AI Vision Inside. The latter can recognize “up to 33 fresh food items as they enter and leave the Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub” and then fill out ”the user’s Food List.” Products that were named Finalists include Neo QLED 8K TV, Music Frame, Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, Easy Setting Box, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 Maison Margiela Edition Package.
