Samsung has announced that it has won a whopping 71 awards during this year's International Forum Design Award event. The company took home 36 design awards for its products, 11 awards for communication design, 10 awards for professional concepts, 9 awards for UI and UX design, and 5 awards for packaging design.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Z Flip won awards for their groundbreaking designs, while Samsung's 8K QLED TVs won the award for their bezel-less design and immersive picture quality. The Premiere triple-laser ultrashort throw 4K projector from the South Korean firm also won an award for its outstanding design.
Various home appliances from Samsung, including its BESPOKE AX9000N air purifier, BESPOKE City Color Edition front panels for home appliances, and the WW8000T Washer & DV8000T Dryer (for vertically stacked design), received design awards. The UX for the WW8000T Washer & DV8000T Dryer also received an award for its ease of use, Braille labels, and sound feedback. The eco-friendly packaging that comes with Samsung's lifestyle TVs such as The Frame, The Serif, and The Sero also received an award.
Dontae Lee, Executive Vice President and the Head of Corporate Design Center at Samsung Electronics, said, “It is important to provide a differentiated experience to the consumers and add meaningful value to their lives. We will make more effort to provide designs that contribute to the society and the lives of our consumers through new insights and innovative approaches.”
