As Xbox Game Studio was preparing to publish Minecraft Legends earlier this week, Samsung signed a one-year deal with Xbox to enable a new free-to-play Gaming Zone at the Microsoft Experience Centre in London. The Gaming Zone, powered by Samsung technologies, has three main areas where visitors can enjoy local and cloud gaming.
Visitors at the Microsoft Experience Centre on Regent Street can engage in gaming sessions in the Cloud Gaming Zone, the Living Room Zone, and the Tournament Zone. Each zone offers a different gaming experience:
- Cloud Gaming Zone: This zone is powered by the Samsung Gaming Hub cloud platform and features 55-inch Neo QLED Smart TVs. The zone demonstrates Samsung's Gaming Hub and how players don't need gaming consoles or huge downloads to enjoy video games on their TVs.
- Living Room Zone: It's powered by giant 98-inch Neo QLED 4K HDR Smart TVs.
- Tournament Zone: This zone features twelve 24-inch Odyssey G3 Gaming Monitors. It's a space for visitors that want to get a taste of competitive gaming. The gaming experience on the Odyssey monitors is enabled by the Xbox Series X console.
In total, the three free-to-play gaming zones offer a whopping 21 Samsung gaming screens of varying sizes.
When to play games and join the Minecraft Build Challenge?
The Microsoft Experience Centre is located in London at 253-259 Regent Street. It's open from 10:00 to 19:00 from Monday to Saturday and between 12:00 and 18:00 on Sunday.
To spice things up even more, every Saturday between 13:00 and 14:00 hours, visitors can showcase their Minecraft knowledge, skill, and creativity by participating in the Minecraft Build Challenge.
Participants will receive tasks and instructive guidelines to develop various creative builds, including a Treehouse, a Super Hero Base, a Fairy Tale Castle, and even recreate the Microsoft Experience Centre itself.
