Samsung will refresh its foldable lineup late next year and the company is expected to make significant changes to the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series in 2025. This includes the possible introduction of new and more attainable models.
While the company has not revealed anything about the new devices as yet, the latest One UI 7.0 beta has essentially confirmed the existence of the new devices, by revealing the model numbers for successors of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold SE.
One UI 7.0 includes references to Samsung's 2025 foldables
The folks over at AndroidAuthority have spotted the SM-F751, SM-F966, and SM-F968 model numbers in the second One UI 7.0 beta. The would ostensibly be the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Fold 7, and the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. Their predecessors carry the SM-F741, SM-F956, and SM-F958 models, so it's hardly a surprise what these numbers refer to.
One UI 7.0 has also revealed the model numbers for the upcoming Galaxy S25 series – SM-S931, SM-S936, and SM-S938, which have already been known for some time now. What's interesting to see is that this list doesn't mention the rumored Galaxy S25 Slim as well as the Galaxy Z Flip FE, the more affordable clamshell foldable that Samsung may launch next year.
This doesn't mean that these devices have been scrapped, only that references to them haven't been included in this version of the upcoming firmware. It's entirely possible that we may see more concrete information concerning these devices in the coming days and weeks.
