At CES 2025, brands around the world showcased a ton of interesting products. Samsung was one of them. The South Korean tech giant revealed many new and upcoming devices. That included the company’s Bespoke AI Laundry Combo washing machine for this year. It brings many new features. However, iFixit says that it is a product that no one asked for.

iFixit has published an article and posted a video talking about the worst products they witnessed at CES 2025, and unfortunately for Samsung, its new Bespoke AI washing machine is on the list. Here’s why the company thinks it’s among the worst innovations displayed at CES 2025.

iFixit has given Samsung’s Bespoke AI washing machine the ‘Who Asked for This?’ award. According to the company, the home appliance comes with “features no one needs” like “the ability to make phone calls,” which makes it “more expensive, fragile, and harder to repair.

The story continues after the video…

While iFixit makes valid points, it’s also true that innovations that we think are not necessary today might turn out to be useful tomorrow, such as wireless charging, wireless earbuds, smartwatches, voice assistants, S-Pen on Galaxy phones, and Samsung DeX. Initially, experts ruled that they were unnecessary but later, people who used them couldn't live without them.
