At the Microsoft Xbox Developer_Direct event yesterday, Ninja Theory announced that it will release Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II on Xbox Series X|S and Windows as a digital-only game on 21 May 2024 for USD 49.99. The developer also revealed that it will make the game available on Xbox Game Pass on the day of release, which isn’t surprising considering that Ninja Theory is owned by Microsoft Studios.
Senuas’s Saga: Hellblade II will be an action-adventure game and a sequel to Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, which came out in 2017 and won many awards. In the upcoming game, “Senua returns in a brutal journey of survival through the myth and torment of Viking Iceland. Intent on saving those who have fallen victim to the horrors of tyranny, Senua faces a battle of overcoming the darkness within and without.”
During yesterday’s event, Microsoft also revealed the timeframe for the release of four other games: Avowed, Vision of Mana, Ara: History Untold, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Avowed and Ara: History Untold are coming in the fall this year, Visions of Mana in the summer this year, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle this year. On a related note, Palworld is releasing on Xbox Game Pass today.
