Samsung unveiled several new features for its platforms last night at the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024. In addition to Bixby, One UI 7.0, and Tizen, the company showcased how it is planning to improve its smart home platform, SmartThings, with AI. One of those new features is SmartThings Home Insight.

SmartThings Home Insight offers AI-powered suggestions based on your smart home usage

SmartThings' new feature, Home Insight, uses AI to learn your smart home usage patterns and integrates them with other Samsung services and devices. Through these integrations and learnings, it offers personalized suggestions that make managing a smart home easier. For example, it can remind you to turn off the lights in your home during the day.

It even offers suggestions based on a particular day of the year. For example, it can suggest playing birthday-themed music and turning lights colorful to celebrate your family member's birthday.
