SmartThings now has over 20 million users in Korea

Samsung SmartThings is one of the most popular Internet of Things (IoT) platforms around the globe, and now, it has reached a new milestone.

Samsung has announced that the SmartThings platform now has over 20 million users in its home country, South Korea, a new milestone for the brand.

In the press release, the company reveals that there has been rapid growth in the sales of Samsung’s AI home appliances and that users on the SmartThings platform have increased since the company upgraded it with AI features.

The brand points out that 92% of the buyers of the Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum cleaner and 80% of buyers of the Bespoke AI Combo all-in-one washer and dryer signed up for SmartThings, suggesting that people are utilizing the feature.

Commenting on the milestone, a Samsung official said “As the purchase of AI home appliances increases, the number of customers actively utilizing SmartThings has increased and their usage patterns have become more diverse. We will continue to introduce various SmartThings functions that create a convenient daily life.
