In June 2023, Meta introduced Channels on WhatsApp, a feature that offers you updates from people and organizations that aren’t in your contacts list. Unfortunately, channels don’t work on linked devices. It means that you can’t see updates from the channels you’ve followed, find more channels, follow new channels, create a channel, or manage your channels on any device other than your primary device. That forced you to switch from the linked devices to the primary device to access channels. Well, that could change soon.
According to a new report from WABetaInfo, the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android (2.24.10.23) gives you access to channels on linked devices as well. That means you can now see updates from the channels you’ve followed, find more channels, follow new channels, create a channel, or manage your channels on linked devices. The ability to do so saves you from the hassle of shifting from linked devices to the primary device to access channels. Meta should roll out this feature to the stable version of the app soon.

Lately, Meta has been working on extending features of WhatsApp that are currently available only for the primary device to linked devices. Recently, it was discovered that the company was working on extending the ability to lock chats to linked devices. On a related note, Meta is also working on introducing categories in Channels.
