Sorry America, you're not getting the One UI 7 update today

Good things come to those who wait, right?

It's a joyous day for Galaxy device owners. Samsung has finally started rolling out the stable One UI 7 update today. It had announced the April 7 release date three weeks ago and thankfully, it has stuck by the commitment.

So you're seeing all of these posts from people getting the update on their eligible devices and wondering when your phone will get it. Unfortunately, users in America will have to wait for a little bit longer, as the update will arrive later in the week.

Galaxy phones in America will get One UI 7 on April 10

Samsung had actually confirmed this back when it announced the stable One UI 7 launch date. The company is going to release One UI 7 in America on April 10. It hasn't said why there's a delay of three days for the US compared to the rest of the world, but that's just the way it is.

The stable version is only being rolled out for the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the first phase. This isn't US-specific, it's global. While there are many One UI 7 eligible devices, their users will have to wait for a bit longer as the rollout will begin once Samsung is done taking care of last year's flagships.

Fortunately, there shouldn't be a significant holdup in the release once April 10 hits, as gone are the days when we'd see carriers in America taking their sweet time in getting the update out to users on their networks. It should all flow rather smoothly on Thursday, and we can all forget about what a long wait it's been.
