Owners of Samsung's Galaxy smartwatches are finally being rewarded for their patience. Samsung is rolling out the stable One UI 6 Watch update, which also brings Wear OS version 5, to eligible Galaxy Watches.
Samsung announced today that the One UI 6 Watch beta program has ended, and the update is now available over the air for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and will come to the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 lineups soon.
One UI 6 Watch's long beta testing period is over
Those who participated in the One UI 6 Watch beta program will receive the stable update first, but as the beta program was only available in two markets (US and Korea), it shouldn't take long for the general public rollout to start.
One UI 6 Watch is based on Wear OS 5 and debuted with the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra. It brings new features including but not limited to:
- A redesigned Quick Panel
- Redesigned notification cards
- A new font
- Better Samsung Health features with the AI-powered Energy Score
- Double Pinch action
- Touch-sensitive Always On Display
