It's the end of the week, and if you don't have anything going on this weekend and boredom has started setting in, Samsung has got you covered. The company has just launched a new world in the virtual reality platform Decentraland, where players can visit and have a “true Samsung experience.”
House of SAM, i.e., the new map in Decentraland, is hosted by SAM, unsurprisingly enough. SAM is the brand's digital expert in this virtual world and will “present its home without limits for the first time.” The House of SAM functions as a hub where players can get the Samsung experience, interact with other avatars, and take part in exclusive events.
Furthermore, players can learn about various Samsung products and services, including SmartThings — the company's “hub” for IoT devices. Players can also learn about SmartThings and get SAM to explain how various Samsung products work, from smart TVs to home appliances.
Virtual parties and wearable NFTs
Visitors get access to exclusive mini-games, including a Color Match game displayed on Bespoke home appliances, and the Let's Dance Challenge, where visitors can show their dance moves while listening to pop music.
Decentraland players who win in these contests at the House of SAM have an opportunity to collect exclusive wearable NFTs.
Players who want to visit the House of SAM can find it next to the Samsung 837X Metaverse concept store, which Samsung introduced to Decentraland at the beginning of the year.
