SUGA of BTS, who is now an honorary Samsung employee, was featured in another presentation video. This time, the topic isn't the company's latest and most impressive foldable phones but The Freestyle 2nd Gen projector, which Samsung finally released in August.
The Freestyle 2nd Gen was announced at CES 2023 but became available for pre-order in mid-August. The pre-order window has just closed, but those who took advantage of it got a really nice bundle of accessories that saved them around $380.

SUGA talks about The Freestyle 2nd Gen's main features
Earlier today, Samsung posted a short 43-second video featuring SUGA of BTS and The Freestyle. In it, the K-pop star talks about a couple of the projector's main features, such as Smart Edge Blending technology — which lets you combine multiple Freestyles to project a larger image — and the product's compact design and portable nature. We wish he would've gone into even more detail about other features, as there's more to The Freestyle than meets the eye.
We had the opportunity to check out The Freestyle 2nd Gen months ago at CES 2023, and it is a fun refresh over the original model, especially since now it comes with Gaming Hub capabilities.
If you like The Freestyle 2nd Gen, you can now buy one outright from Samsung online, but because the pre-order period is over, you no longer get all those cool pre-order bonuses. The pre-purchase bundle included a case, a battery base, a cradle, and the socket adapter. The latter is a unique accessory that lets you screw in The Freestyle like a lightbulb and have it project images on tables or floors.
As for SUGA, now that the star is a part of Samsung's marketing team, we're sure we'll see more of him in future promotional videos for various other products. Previously, SUGA interviewed the EVP and Head of Mobile R&D Office at Samsung. SUGA asked about the latest foldables and shared his history with Galaxy devices. Can you guess which Galaxy phone was SUGA's first? Check out the interview to find out.
