A recent Samsung Members community post suggested that the next beta version of One UI 5.0 has been delayed until Friday, but this might be true only for select markets. In reality, the third One UI 5.0 beta firmware has just started rolling out for Exynos-powered Galaxy S22 models across Europe, or at least in a few European countries, including Germany and Poland.
The last four digits in the third One UI 5.0 beta firmware number are ZVI9. The latest update adds a new immersive slideshow-style story feature in Gallery and a slightly redesigned wallpaper selection screen. And the lock screen wallpaper can now be changed directly from the lock screen by long-pressing. (via @Vetrox360)
The New Galaxy S22 beta update should fix animations
As usual, beta participants can expect more bugfixes across the board, and according to the changelog, the third One UI 5.0 release should improve home screen return animations and animation overlap when closing folders.
Another bug that apparently got squashed prevented apps from exiting when users were using UI navigation gestures while running multiple apps on the lock screen. And the Calendar widget transparency issue has also been addressed.
You must be a One UI beta participant in order to download this new firmware update on your Galaxy S22. Otherwise, you'll have to wait for Samsung to release the first public version. As to when that might happen, only Samsung knows, but we'll keep you posted.
