Given its positioning as a high-end phone for people who need to be productive on the go, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 undoubtedly needs to provide features that enable customers get things done seamlessly.

Samsung understands that and it has made several improvements to the Galaxy Z Fold 5's software to achieve this objective. One such update improves upon a feature that was introduced last year and it makes multitasking on the flagship foldable a breeze.

Galaxy Z Fold 5's taskbar now shows more recent apps

The taskbar is a great software feature that lets you make the most of the large internal foldable display. It's similar to the taskbar you'll find on your computer. You can easily access core settings and recent apps from there, saving you a lot of time as you don't have to go through all of your apps to launch the ones you used recently.

In previous iterations, the taskbar would only display two of your most recently used apps. The other spots were either taken up by the navigation buttons or the row of favorite apps. Samsung has switched things up with the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The taskbar can now show a maximum of four recently used apps, providing you with the ability to quickly launch them again with just one tap. You can also configure the number of recent apps you want to be shown in the taskbar, a minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 apps can be shown here.

It's a minor change but one that proves to be very useful when you're getting stuff done. Launching apps you used most recently becomes easy, you save time, and are able to maximize your productivity, which is why most customers buy the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in the first place. This goes to show that even minor changes can go a long way in improving the user experience.
