Unlocked Galaxy S23 gets September 2023 security update in the US
The latest software update for the factory unlocked units of Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with firmware version S91xU1UES1AWHD in the US. The update brings the September 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws found in the previous version of the software. Since this is just a security update, don't expect it to bring any new features or performance improvements.
If you have a factory-unlocked version of a Galaxy S23 series phone in the US, you can now check for the new software update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung debuted the Galaxy S23 series with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 onboard. The phones in the lineup received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update a few days ago, and the stable update could be released within the next couple of months.
