Unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 4 gets April 2024 update in USA
A new software update for the factory-unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 4 is now available in the US, and it comes bearing firmware version F936U1UES4EXD1. The update is currently available on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile networks, but the availability could expand to all other carriers within a few days from now. It is a minor software update with a relatively small download size.
It includes the April 2024 security patch, which fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities found in previous software versions. The update doesn't bring any new features or performance enhancements. For more features, you have to wait for the One UI 6.1 update, which is expected to arrive on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in a few weeks. You can watch our in-depth One UI 6.1 video below. However, none of the Galaxy AI features in the video below will be included in the update.
To install the new update on your Galaxy Z Fold 4, open the Settings app, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. However, to use the manual flashing process, you need to be well-versed in using the Odin tool and have access to a computer running Windows OS.
