US businesses can now turn Galaxy phones into mobile POS terminals with Talus’ ReadyPoint

Talus and Samsung Electronics America have joined forces to offer an all-in-one smart mobile point-of-sale solution that uses Galaxy phones instead of dedicated PoS hardware.

Samsung says Talus' newly launched ReadyPoint app can turn almost any Galaxy phone or tablet into a complete business operating suite.

The platform was built to support a variety of use cases and industries, from field service and contractors to boutiques and speciality retail.

When combined with Samsung's Galaxy mobile hardware, Talus says its ReadyPoint platform offers numerous benefits, including:

ReadyPoint uses Galaxy hardware as its foundation, but it's also powered in part by Ingenico, which provides SoftPOS Tap-to-Pay capabilities to the suite.

The platform was also showcased at the Western States Acquirers Association Annual Conference, which was held in Palm Springs, California, between September 15 and 17.

Following a successful soft launch, ReadyPoint is now available through Talus' reseller channel.
