The latest software update with firmware version S90xUSQU2CWCF is rolling out to the carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra in the US. The update brings the April 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security vulnerabilities. It also brings some improvements to Camera and Gallery apps, allowing users to clip a subject from an image by just pressing and holding it.

If you have a carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S22, you can now download and install the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also choose to download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 series early last year with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 onboard. The devices in the lineup received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in late 2022 and the One UI 5.1 update earlier this year.
