The Galaxy Note 10 series started picking up the November 2020 security patch earlier this month. The carrier variants of the phones, including the ones on Verizon's network in the US, have now started receiving the latest security update.
Verizon's Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, and the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G are getting new updates with the November 2020 security patch. The latest security patch fixes five critical vulnerabilities in Android OS, along with 29 high-level threats and 31 moderate threats. It also fixes five Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVEs). The new software updates bear firmware versions N970USQS5DTJ8, N975USQS5DTJ8, and N976VVRS5DTJ8 for the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, and the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G.
The official changelog doesn't mention anything other than improved security. However, we expect it to bring a few bug fixes as well. If you are a Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, and the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G user on Verizon's network in the US and if you haven't received the latest update yet, you can check for it manually by visiting Settings » Software update on your smartphone and then tapping Download and install.
