After announcing the Galaxy S24 series a couple of days ago at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event, Samsung announced that it will start taking pre-orders on the same day in several countries. Pre-orders are expected to start reaching customers after a week or so. The company has published a video showcasing what it is like to unbox the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Galaxy S24 Ultra official unboxing

The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes in four colors (excluding the online-exclusive ones): Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow. It comes in a very slim and environment-friendly box, as you can see in the unboxing video below. Inside the box, there is the phone, the Quick Start Guide, a SIM ejection pin, and a USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable. As usual with Samsung's recent smartphones, there is no charger inside the box.

The phone looks extremely premium, and it has titanium side rails, which are said to offer added strength to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The phone's flat 6.8-inch screen is covered by Gorilla Glass Armor, while its back is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The device is 0.3mm thinner than the Galaxy S23 Ultra despite packing in more features, the same S Pen, the same-sized battery, and a bigger vapor chamber heat dissipation system. The phone has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The device is also available in three online-exclusive colors: Titanium Blue, Titanium Green, and Titanium Orange. Samsung also showcased some of the important features of the phone, like its camera system and screen with 2,600 nits of peak brightness. The smartphone uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor, 12GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. It supports 45W fast wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W Wireless Power Share.

The video also briefly showcases the colors of the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+, as well as their designs. They continue to use the Armor Aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the front and the rear. The devices have a slightly new ‘One Mass' design and have flat sides, curved corners, and flat screens. They come in Amber Yellow, Cobalt Violet, Marble Gray, and Onyx Blue colors. Online-exclusive colors include Jade Green, Sandstone Orange, and Sapphire Blue.

After showcasing the design of the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+, featuring extremely slim and uniform bezels, the video goes on to show Galaxy AI features, including Chat Assist, Circle to Search with Google, Live Translate, Note Assist, and Photo Assist. You can watch some of those AI features in action in the videos included in this article.

Samsung also posted the official video that unveils the new Quick Share feature. It has been merged with Google's Nearby Share file-sharing feature that comes included in all Android smartphones and tablets. It means you can use Quick Share to share files wirelessly with any smartphone or tablet running the Android operating system. Watch the Quick Share introduction video below.
