Watch Samsung hilariously troll Apple for not having a foldable phone

Few things are certain in life, such as getting older, taxes, and Samsung trolling Apple. This has been a thorn in Apple's side. Samsung has been taking full advantage of the opportunity to have fun at Apple's expense for years. It puts out ads that mock Apple's iPhone for not have the features and capabilities that its Galaxy devices provide.

Since launching foldable smartphones, Samsung is in an entirely different league. There's no indication of Apple coming out with a foldable iPhone for the foreseeable future. This just gives Samsung the ammunition it needs to mock Apple for not having a foldable phone yet.

Samsung is giving Apple some foldable envy

This particular ad appears to have been posted online in China only. It ties in nicely with the football world cup craze that has gripped the planet this entire month. It shows a sea of Galaxy Z Flip phones participating in what's commonly called a “Mexican wave.”

The camera then pans to a couple of iPhones that are dejected at not being able to participate in the fun since they're unable to fold. It's surely a fun concept and it's also something that Apple can't respond to at this point in time. There have been grumblings about Apple working on foldable smartphones but who knows how long it might be before one finally hits the market.

We've discussed before how Apple has seemingly given up on innovation since its business priorities have changed. The company is focusing far more on its subscription businesses that are literal cash cows. It seems that major upgrades for the iPhone have taken a back seat at Cupertino.

Be that as it may, it's unlike Samsung to pass up any opportunity to poke fun at its biggest rival. All we need to do is grab some popcorn and watch it all play out.
