We hear you. Samsung is extremely late in releasing the One UI 7.0 update to its older phones. Even its previous-generation flagship phones, like the Galaxy S24, haven't received the update yet. And some reports claim the update might not arrive until April or May.

So, what is Samsung doing?

Besides the delay, Samsung's problem seems to be lack of communication

Some people think Samsung is delaying One UI 7 to existing phones to boost Galaxy S25 sales because the hardware is hardly anything new. But there are flaws in that argument, too. Watch our video below to know what we think about this delay and why Samsung might be struggling in rolling out the fresh new update.

Over the past few years, Samsung has released a major new One UI update in the fourth quarter of the year. This year, the company is at least four months late compared to that timeline.

Maybe the optimization level of One UI 7 isn't at a level that Samsung wants, or maybe the issue is something else. But the thing that is making people (including us) angry is Samsung's lack of communication about it. This gives people a chance to claim something that might not be true or blow something out of proportion.

Samsung needs to be clearer with its communication. If there is a delay, it needs to explain the reason behind it carefully and provide a rough timeline as to when people can expect the rollout of the stable One UI 7 update.
