Unpacked leaks have begun, and it seems that no matter how hard Samsung tries to plug the leaks, new ones spring up. The latest bits of information concern the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 smartwatch series. The official design popped up in leaked renders late last week, and now, information about prices emerged.
Samsung plans to sell the Galaxy Watch 6 in two sizes and color variants. The 40mm model will be available in Graphite and Cream, while the 44mm will have a Graphite or Silver finish. Here's what they'll cost:
- 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 (Bluetooth): €319
- 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 (LTE): €369
- 44mm Galaxy Watch 6 (Bluetooth): €349
- 44mm Galaxy Watch 6 (LTE): €399
As usual, the physical rotating bezel commands a higher price
The Korean tech giant also plans to revive the Classic smartwatch series and release two Galaxy Watch 6 Classic models. Reportedly (via Dealabs), they will be available in two color options, black and silver, for the following prices:
- 43mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (Bluetooth): €419
- 43mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (LTE): €469
- 47mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (Bluetooth): €449
- 47mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic (LTE): $499
These prices supposedly correspond to the Galaxy Watch 6 series in France, so if they are accurate, it is possible that slight variations for other markets in Europe exist. And as usual, trade-in offers and discounts will also be market-dependent.
The new smartwatches will run a new version of One UI Watch at launch, which Samsung already confirmed will offer better fitness and sleep tracking. One UI Watch 5 is based on Google's Wear OS 4 update. Other watches, like the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 lineups, will get the update at a later date after the Watch 6 series hits the market.
We expect Samsung to announce the Galaxy Watch 6 series in South Korea on July 27 at an Unpacked event that will also host the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup.
