WhatsApp has been adding many new features to its apps on all the platforms on which it is available. Recently, it introduced a wider selection of stickers through AI and GIPHY integration. Now, the company seems to be working on WhatsApp chat themes.
WhatsApp to get better customization through chat themes
In the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android (2.24.17.19), WABetaInfo found a feature that WhatsApp is testing. It is called ‘Chat Theme,' and it will allow users to change the color of the message bubbles and the background wallpaper of the chat thread. This feature is still in its early development stage.
With this feature, you should be able to customize each chat thread to your liking. You can already change the background wallpaper in all chat threads in WhatsApp, but the upcoming feature will let you do more customizations, similar to Facebook Messenger. The new feature might be released to all WhatsApp users in the near future.
Over the past few months, WhatsApp added Meta AI to its app, allowing you to interact with Meta's AI assistant to ask for information or seek its help on any topic. The company seems to be working on wireless offline file sharing between devices running WhatsApp. Samsung brought Galaxy AI support for WhatsApp, offering real-time language translation for chats and voice calls.
