WhatsApp has added one more feature that makes it easier for you to spot and continue important chat threads. It now lets you quickly filter your favorite contacts.

WhatsApp brings a favorites filter in the top bar

WhatsApp has announced that finding favorite contacts is getting easier on its app. With the new feature, you can choose your favorite contacts, be it family members, friends, or your favorite groups.

WhatsApp Favorite Contacts

To add someone or a group as your favorite, select the Favorites filter from the top bar in the Chats tab. Then, you can select the contacts and groups that you want to add as your favorites.

To choose your favorite contacts for calls, visit the Calls tab from the bottom bar and then tap ‘Add Favorite,' and then select your favorite contacts.

You can also navigate to Settings » Favorites » Add To Favorites to manage your favorite contacts in WhatsApp. This feature has started rolling out today and it will take a few days for the complete rollout to happen.

To use this feature, you should check if an app update is waiting for WhatsApp on the Play Store. However, it might take a few days for everyone worldwide to arrive for the update.
