WhatsApp has been focusing on making group chats better. Last month, the Facebook-owned instant messaging platform launched a feature called Communities, where people could add various groups with similar interests under one umbrella. The company revealed that it would soon roll out a feature where people can silently leave groups.
Today, we have our first look at that feature. As you can see in the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, only you and the admins of that group will be notified when you leave a group. No other people in the group would be notified that you are not a part of the group anymore.
This feature is currently available only on WhatsApp Desktop Beta. However, according to WABetaInfo, it will soon be rolled out to all the platforms, including Android, iOS, Mac, and the web.
Apart from this, WhatsApp plans to roll out many other features shortly. You will soon be able to send files up to 2GB and have a group call with up to 32 people. Admins can delete any message in the group for everyone. When WhatsApp rolls out more Admin features, it also plans to increase the group size limit to 512 participants (currently 256).
