WhatsApp just fixed one of its users’ biggest complaints

In the last couple of years, WhatsApp has constantly been getting new features that users have been demanding for a long, long time. For example, WhatsApp recently added functionality such as the option to use the same account on multiple devices, the ability to edit messages, and a lock option for individual chats.

And it doesn't look like the Meta-owned company plans to stop anytime soon. Its latest addition to the WhatsApp app's ever-growing list of features? You can now send messages to phone numbers without having to save them as contacts!

Hit new message button, search for a number, tap chat button, profit!

Before this WhatsApp update, you could only do that if you tapped a number shared in a chat or by using the workaround of entering a URL in a browser. But now, all you need to do is hit the new message button on the main WhatsApp screen (the little green icon on the bottom right of the screen), tap the search icon, enter the number you want to message, then hit the Chat button that shows up next to the search result.

And the best part is that this feature has directly been released for all WhatsApp users instead of first appearing in the beta version of the app. However, since it started rolling out very recently, it might not be available on your phone immediately and you might have to wait a few days or even a couple of weeks for that to change.

WhatsApp can be downloaded on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet (and Android devices from other manufacturers) via the Google Play Store. You can also download WhatsApp on Windows PCs from the Microsoft Store or just use it through the web browser.
