Unicode's emoji library now has an emoji for almost all types of emotions, and it is continuously expanding. WhatsApp, being the most used instant messaging platform, has always tried to keep its emoji set up to date with Unicode's emoji updates. The app also supports stickers and GIFs to give its users various options to express themselves.
Now, according to a new report, WhatsApp is testing a new way to give its users a smarter way to recommend stickers. As per WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing a new sticker recommendation system. Apparently, as soon as you type an emoji, the WhatsApp system will show you all the stickers associated with it, including the ones that you have installed.
Do note that this new WhatsApp sticker recommendation feature is not available to everyone, and only a few lucky beta testers were able to get their hands on this new feature. The feature was spotted on the beta app version 2.23.14.6 on Android. WABetaInfo notes that this new recommendation feature works great with the Cuppy sticker pack, but there is no information on how it will work with multiple sticker packs installed.
The feature is also marked to be compatible with older builds of WhatsApp and may work with iOS too. As of now, there is no word on when WhatsApp will bring this feature to the stable channel. If you want to try your luck, you can download the beta version of the app and check if the feature is live for you or not.
